Threats should be countered with threats, says Imran Khan

DG ISPR “should have comprehended what I stated,” according to the PTI chief. Imran Khan, the deposed premier and chairman of the PTI, urged his party’s leaders and followers on Monday to retaliate against anyone who has threatened them by calling an unknown number.

The PTI leader stated during a speech at a gathering of the general public in Chakwal that he wanted the army chief to be chosen on the basis of merit, claiming that former leaders Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif were incapable of doing so because they were not even familiar with the term “merit” and could not look beyond their own immediate families.

The ISPR expressed severe disapproval of the PTI chairman’s comments about the selection of the new army chief, stating that it was “aghast at the slanderous and uncalled for” statement about the institution’s senior leadership.

The institution is losing lives every day to ensure the security and safety of the people of Pakistan. Hence, it is regrettable that an attempt has been made to undermine and discredit [the] senior leadership of [the] Pakistan Army. The ISPR stated that it was very sad and disappointing that senior politicians were attempting to incite controversy over the selection of the COAS, the process for which is clearly outlined in the constitution.

Ex-PM Imran criticized the selection of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as PPP chairman by Zardari and Maryam Nawaz as the “queen” of his party by Sharif, saying that both candidates should have chosen Aitzaz Ahsan and Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan instead, given their superior expertise and judgment.

The PTI chairman also criticized PM Shehbaz Sharif for designating his son as Punjab’s chief minister, claiming that the families of Sharif and Zardari do not even comprehend the concept of merit. He claimed that his rivals’ assets were hidden abroad and that they couldn’t support the country’s actual freedom since they were subjects of the nations where their cash and assets were hidden.

After stating that books and articles have been published about their corruption, Imran questioned whether the Sharifs and Zardari would be permitted to choose the future army chief of the nation amid a loud cheer from the crowd. According to the PTI chairman, Sharif was residing overseas as a fugitive and his brother, Shehbaz Sharif, had sworn to the courts that Sharif would soon return, but he hadn’t.

You should have at least comprehended what I was saying. And he questioned, “How is it conceivable for a country that an absconding convicted criminal is deciding who will be the next COAS?”

Imran, meanwhile, made fun of Maryam Nawaz and claimed that she was an expert liar. Before playing a video clip in which Maryam claimed she had no properties in Pakistan or overseas, Imran remarked, “Maryam has acquired a Ph.D. in lying; that’s her only qualification.”

He made a joke about Maryam having applied for a house under the Ehsaas program.

Imran referred to Maryam’s several claims and remarked, “I have never seen anyone utter a falsehood with such a straight face,” adding that these people had three PhDs in lying. In his speech, Imran urged listeners to return threatening phone calls from unknown callers.

He answered, “Do anything you want; we will do whatever we can. I will fight on and eventually defeat all of them. “

PM Shehbaz was made fun of by Imran for failing to correctly put on earbuds at his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin while playing a video clip. Imran claimed that he was anxious while making fun of the prime minister, adding that the foreign powers “installed” the current leaders so they would continue to follow their orders rather than help the people.

In his claim, Imran claimed, in reference to the meeting between former premier Nawaz Sharif and former US president Barack Obama, that Sharif had invited Obama while reading from a piece of paper out of concern that he would make a mistake.

Imran attacked the families of Sharif and Zardari, claiming that if they returned half of the “looted money” from the previous 30 years to the nation, the current leaders of both families would not need to grovel to other nations. He asserted that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was a respected leader who had been ousted from office and the public eye by foreign interests.

Imran Khan reflected on his time playing cricket and claimed that the one lesson he took away from it was that “Imran Khan has never given up in his life.”

He said that he never received nourishment from any institution’s nursery and that he got to the power corridors on his own. He emphasized that he would keep battling until the very end and never accept “thieves.” He vowed, “I’ll never give up.”

He kept referring to his opponents as thieves, looters, traitors, and corrupt throughout his address, and he reaffirmed that he would never side with the “greatest dacoits.”

Imran stated that he wanted to let the traitors who forced the government know that the country was suffering as a result of their choice. He kept urging people to be prepared for his call for protest and his planned lengthy march to the capital later this month throughout his speech.
