“The universities have a right to participate in the current political discussion. Political leaders visit colleges all around the world to speak to young people, and we don’t make any distinctions based on whether they are in the administration or the opposition, Dr. Zaidi said in an interview about imran khan Issue.

The Punjab Information Technology Board organised the event and selected the guest list, the VC added.

These political gatherings have no place in academic institutions. Children should not be forced into politics since they are our future.

Dr. Arslan Khalid, the minister of Punjab’s information technology, responded to Ms. Nawaz on Twitter with the following statement: “Why don’t you (Maryam) or Shehbaz Sharif go and visit GCU or any institution yourself and give whatever speech you want? The world’s political leaders attend universities. It’s not our problem if you people can’t handle youth.
